Drum Badge Mold

Just made this on our milling machine. Its an ego drum badge mold made from aluminum. We will inject wax into it, to create a wax pattern and then do a lost wax casting. More info as the project progresses. Let us know if your interested in cool drum badges, minus the mold fee, it would be around $5.00 a badge. And the mold lasts forever.

Depending on the amount of detail, the set up and mold cost range from $250 to $500. But like I said after that the badges are only $5.00 a pop and the mold lasts for ever.

I should have some pictures up later tonight with the wax pattern part that we are going to inject into this mold. Stay tuned.

Here is the first run of Wax Patterns. Still perfecting them a bit, but they are looking pretty darn good so far. Next, we will invest these and cast them in to metal. Comming soon as the project progresses.

Here is a bronze badge. This is pretty much what it looks like right after casting. I still need to buff and polish this thing to a mirror shine. I'll post some more pics after I do that, but heres this one for now.

I really like them unpolished. It's like the natural elemental aspect of wood and metal.

Hey Tyler...have you had any progress on the badges? Not sure if you have done any for anyone or have any others to show off.
